About Domain Intelligence
What this checks
Domain Intelligence is a WHOIS and registration lookup with health context: the registrar, the creation and expiry dates, the nameservers actually serving the domain, DNSSEC status, and who hosts it. It answers the questions you ask when a domain misbehaves or when you are about to depend on one - is it about to expire, is it locked, and is its DNS run by a provider you recognise.
How to read the result
The expiry date is the single most important line: a lapsed registration takes down a website and email at once, with no warning email guaranteed to reach you. Nameservers tell you where DNS changes have to be made. DNSSEC being on is a good sign; being off is common and not itself a fault. If the registrar or host is one you did not choose, that is worth investigating.
What to do next
If expiry is close, renew and turn on auto-renew and a registrar lock. If the nameservers are wrong, that points at where your real DNS lives. Domain expiry is exactly the kind of thing that is invisible until it breaks everything, so it is a good candidate for scheduled monitoring rather than a one-off check.
